Post-operative follow-up

After the operation you will be seen again at regular intervals by our team and by your general practitioner . Both scientific evidence and experience show that the better the follow-up after the surgical treatment, the better the long-term results are in terms of weight loss, general health and quality of life.

The diagram below provides a standard overview of the follow-up that is sheduled after obesity surgery. Depending on the advice of the multidisciplinary consultation and the course after the operation, additional follow-up consultations may be proposed with the dietician and/or psychologist , or with another doctor-specialist, depending on other medical conditions. (e.g. cardiologist, pulmonologist, endocrinologist,...)
